Alexandra (b. 1994) is an artist based in Brick, New Jersey.
Her fantasy oil paintings feature narratives that explore the beauty and mystique of femininity and nature. Elegant characters are complimented by ethereal atmospheres that encompass their story. Their worlds have a magical quality, but are rooted in reality to draw the viewer in and make their environments relatable. These maidens are captured in ephemeral moments that are meant to evoke a sense of wonder in the viewer. Her painting style is inspired by classical methods of oil painting involving a two tone base, and color built up over many layers of glazing and dry brushing.
Huge inspirations include the art of contemporary artists such as Annie Stegg, Final Fantasy games, books about modern fantasy and tales of classic mythology.
